A Tradition of Family and Farming
It all started with a love of family...and a love of the country life! Being raised on a farm, my childhood was filled with memories of feeding cows with my dad, riding my horse through the pasture, and watching my mom feed her chickens in the backyard of our small rural farmhouse in San Saba, Texas, passed down to my father by his father, Robert Huffstetler, whose family was among the early settlers in San Saba County and helped to develop the area of Pecan Grove and Harmony Ridge, which was founded in 1870.
My husband, Jonathan, grew up gardening with his parents in Michigan and listening to stories of his Dutch grandparents and great-grandparents leaving the Netherlands in the early 1900s to establish farms in rural Minnesota and cultivate new lives for themselves. Jonathan and I began our lives together in 2014 on a small homestead in West, Texas, eventually moving to our present 50-acre farm located in Elm Mott, Texas. We have raised our family here along with our goats, cows, horses, cats, and pups! We love our farm life, and we are excited to share a piece of this life that we love with you.
